[ভেজা চোখের এশিয়া কাপ]

৩.২৩.২০১২ সকাল ৯ টা। ভেবেছিলাম লম্বা একটা ঘুম দিলে গতকালের অনেক কিছুই ভুলে যাব। ভোলা হলো না আমার। গতরাত বেশ কয়বার ঘুম ভেঙ্গে গেছে উত্তেজনায়। বার বার মনে হচ্ছিল খেলা এখনো আমাদের হাতে। ৬ বলে ৯ রান উইকেট হাতে আছে সুতরাং আমরা জিতবোই, ফর শিওর!

গতকাল খেলা শেষে সুয়েটারের হাতা দিয়ে নীরবে চোখ মুছতেছিলাম হঠাৎ আমার ল্যাবম্যাট নিকোলাস দেখে ফেলে বলল," তুমি কাঁদছ কেন?" তারপর তুমিই বললা যে খেলা শেষ হয়ে গেছে ঘণ্টা খানেক আগে এখন কাঁদছ কেন? আমাদের ‘রজার ফেদেরার’ যখন ‘রাফায়েল নাদালের’ কাছে হারে আমাদের অনুভূতিও তোমার কাছাকাছি হয়, তাই বলে চোখের পানি পর্যন্ত গড়ায় না। আমি আসলে সামলে নিয়ে ছিলাম আমাকে কিন্ত খেলা শেষে সাকিব আল হাসান এবং মুশফিকের অশ্রু সজল ছবি ফেইসবুকে দেখে আর সামলে রাখতে পারলাম না। নিকোলাসকে ছবিটা দেখায়ে বললাম দেখ এই ছবিটা। এই ছবি দেখে ১৬ কোটি মানুষের হৃদয়ে রক্ত ক্ষরণ হবে, কারণ এর সাথে আমাদের অনেক ইতিহাস জড়িত আছে। আমাদের খেলোয়াড়দের চোখের পানি দেখলেই বুঝা যায় আমাদের দেশের প্রতি/আমাদের প্রতি তাদের ভালোবাসাটা কত পবিত্র।

এশিয়া কাপ শুরুর আগে থেকেই বিখ্যাত ফেমিনিস্ট রাইটার Susan Brownmiller এর Against our will MEN,WOMAN and RAPE বইটা পড়ছিলাম। নিকোলাসকে বইয়ের কয়েকটা প্যরাগ্রাফ পড়ে শোনালাম যেখানে লেখাঃ

In the middle of the January the story gained sudden credence. An Asian relief secretary of the World Council of Churches called a press conference in Geneva to discuss his two week mission to Bangladesh. The Reverend Kentaro Buma reported that more then 200000 Benglali woman had been raped by Pakistani soldiers during the nine month conflict, a figure that had been supplied to him by Bangladeshi authorities in Dacca. Thousands of raped women had become pregnant, he said. And by tradition no Muslim husband would take back a wife who had been touched by another man

Khadiga, thirteen years old, was interviewed by photojournalist in Dacca. She was walking to school with four other girls when they were kidnapped by a gang of Pakistani soldiers. All five were put in a military brothel in Mohammadpur and held captive for six months until the end of war. Khadiga was regularly abused by two men a day, others she said had to service seven to ten man daily. At first Khadiga said the soldiers tied a gag around her mouth to keep her from screaming. As the months wore on and the captive’s sprit was broken the soldiers devised a simple quid pro quo. They withheld the daily ration of food until the girls had submitted to the full quota.

Kamala Begum a wealthy widow lived in Dacca suburb, when the fighting started she sent her two daughters into the countryside to hide. She felt she could afford to stay behind, secure in her belief that she was “too old” to attract attention. She was assaulted by three men, two Pakistanis and one razakar in her home.

এই চার প্যারাগ্রাফ পড়ে শুনানোর পর নিকোলাস আমার পিঠে হাত দিয়ে বলে তোমরা একদিন ভালো করবে ফর শিওর! আজ হয়নি তো কি একদিন বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট টিম বিশ্বকাপ জয় করবে! আমি আশায় বুক বাঁধি, আমরা একদিন বিশ্বকাপ জয় করবোই!
অনেকেই বলেন খেলার মাঠে রাজনীতি নিয়ে আসা ঠিক না, আমিও তাই মনে করি। পাকিস্তানীদের সাথে অনেক হিসাব নিকাশ আমাদের এখনো বাকি আছে। রাজনীতির নোংরা ছোবলে আমাদের মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের গৌরবোজ্জ্বল ইতিহাস বার বার বিকৃত হয়েছে, আওয়ামী কিংবা বি এন পি যে সরকার এসে নিজেদের মতো করে ইতিহাস পাল্টায়। তাই আমি খুঁজে ফিরি সত্যিকারের ইতিহাস।
