HighLights...........2009

Again 31st December 2009, Writing from Redingenstraat 59 Leuven Belgium. Delighted with the lightening of different colors,
...................

From Vlamingenstraat to Vesaliustraat:
Change of home with melancholic mind cause of space limitation. In Vlamingenstraat it was a studio and perhaps the best living place I have had in my overseas life. But all the worries blow up afterword the meeting with new face in Pangaea(the intercultural center of KUL)
Great to meet with Caroine Sabin and Evan and making excuses to see them more and more. I even dint noticed Pangaea could be so interesting place to meet so many people and the offer of unlimited coffee is simply superb with only 4 euro for a year subscription. First noticed at 14th May discussing with Caroline in the Alejandros concert but in the mean time 3 months had already gone.

Easter Vacation 2009:
Like 2008 Easter vacation 2009 was exciting, same way we(me Bashar, Shabuj Shohel Riyad) went out for Zurich Geneva and Roma trip. Truly exciting immensely enjoying and making stronger tie to each other. The most remarkable happening was the “background “of snap shots. Whenever we decided to take picture it was more important for us what is in the background….lol 

Achieving M.Sc Engineering Degree

Finally I got my M.Sc Degree in water resources engineering on 11th September 2009. The historic and one more milestone of my educational endeavor. Thanks to Phillipe for making it possible otherwise the journey could be very much lonely. You are not only my thesis supervisor you are one the nicest person I have ever met in my life. There are so many things to learn from Phillipe not only education but also maintaining extremely organized family. I enjoyed his rehearsal at home for concert with his colleagues

Short trip to Dhaka:
Trip to Dhaka was awfully busy and loaded with rush of work. But of course finally an Eid-Ul-Fetor with Vaiya. Ahiyan was pretty much curious to see “Tatu(uncle)” after a long since. While departing he was saying “Baba, Shomon Chacco chole jacchy keno?” I have no reply Ahiyan for this question just only to say its life. I miss u Ahian, I miss u very much.

Job at EC and different Leuven:
It seemed quite different Leuven after returning back from Dhaka. Friends are not here anymore to study together and asking hello while meeting in the street. Basher is no longer coming to play table tennis and no more headachy of thesis correction. Moreover university housing facility is going to finish because my contract is over and I got my degree which was the basic aim to entry in Europe in 2007. But next train to catch up for future footsteps.

Frustrating events and the real faces of BD Immigrants:
“Being in touched and shearing knowledge” with this objective I finalized to live in Antelia (previous Bangla club now the dead zone for me) although I had many other option especially at Sabins home near to Carryfour. As a neighbor Prasit was nice and friendly indeed but the problem was too much interference of that EVIL (the house owner). I myself can never imagine a Bangladeshi can reach such a low level that he can assault another Bangladeshi in the street! . What a shame! Shame for the whole Bangladeshi society. But on the other hand it was a good lesson for me and the new comers! They are now acknowledged about the real faces of Bangladeshi immigrants living for money and not returning back!. I will think twice while meeting with any BD immigrants in Berlin/Geneva.

Confusion at the very last few days:
Finally, I found out an excellent place in Redingenstraat 59 where no one interferers in my life. But a new and strange problem started in. I got 2 PhD offer at a same time and truly confused which one to accept finally. Its 31st night but I still don’t know where I am going finally, is it Berlin or in Geneva. The major difference between this two is the financial assurance and challenging career. If I choose for Geneva its well cause Geneva is famous for hosting all the UN offices and high voltage organizations (like WMO WTO RedCROSS and many more) on the other hand in Germany I got 3 years of full funding!
...................
Perhaps next year on 31st night I will start writing form the new place I have chosen…
